Marinic - Chardonnay 2019
Domaine Viscount de Noüe-Marinič is located in Kojsko, Slovenia . It is the result of the alliance of two families: the Burgundian tradition of Charles-Louis de Noüe (the nephew of Jeanne Leflaive and co-founder of Domaine Leflaive ) and the Marinič family established in the hill of Gorizia (Goriska Brda) in Slovenia. Domaine Vicomte de Noüe-Marinič interprets the terroirs of Ponca , a clay-limestone marl resulting from the compression of the lagoon of Venice and the erection of the Alps. Under the reign of Empress-Queen Maria Theresa of Austria, the first Classification of Crus of the Counties of Gorizia and Comme was created in 1787. This classification includes 9 Cru classes, from I to IX. Domaine Vicomte de Noüe-Marinič has 20 hectares of vines exclusively located in I and II Cru.
The Chardonnay comes from vines that are 20 years old, grown on the terroir composed of Ponca. The vinification is carried out in whole bunches, the juice is transferred to barrels for fermentation. The wine is aged for 18 months in stainless steel vats .
