Château Respide-Médeville - White 2020
Château Respide-Médeville is located in Preignac, in the Graves appellation in the Bordeaux wine region. He belongs to the Gonet-Médeville family . The Médeville family is originally from Cadillac-sur-Garonne, in the Cadillac and Loupiac appellations. With the marriage of Numa Médeville and Marie Despujols (heiress of the Château Gilette estate and the neighboring site of Les Justices, owned by her family since 1710), the Médeville family settled in Sauternes in the 19th century. Château Respide-Médeville and the other family properties (which includes Château Gilette in Sauternes, Château des Eyrins in Margaux and Cru Monplaisir in Bordeaux Supérieur) are run by husband and wife team Julie and Xavier Gonet-Médeville. Xavier Gonet, originally from Champagne, also established their eponymous estate in Champagne.
This wine is a blend of Sémillon (50%), Sauvignon Blanc (48%) and Muscadelle (2%) vinified and aged in stainless steel vats.
