Izarra - Yellow Liquor - 40%
Izarra is a liqueur created in 1906 in Hendaye, in the Basque Country , by Joseph Grattau, a botanist and pharmacist. Izarra is a liqueur made from a distillate composed of plants, spices and two macerations, prunes and walnut husk. After distillation in a copper still, it is combined with Armagnac with a little sugar.
For Izarra Jaune , the final blend includes honey, added following the various macerations in alcohol and Armagnac.
