Domaine GUIBERTEAU - Brézé 2020
Domaine Guiberteau is located in the village of Saint-Just-sur-Dive, in the Loire Valley , near Saumur . The family estate has existed since 1934 and has been led by Romain Guiberteau since 1996. The vineyard covers 17 hectares, in the communes of Brézé, Bizay, Chacé, Montreuil Bellay and Saint-Just-sur-Dive where Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc are grown. Since 2003, the entire vineyard has been conducted in certified organic farming and the vinifications are carried out in the most natural way possible.
This cuvée is made from Chenin Blanc from two small plots of mature vines planted in 1933 and 1952 in the climate of Brézé . The vineyards are at a higher altitude than most of the surrounding areas and the vines sit on a hill of tuffeau, a porous, chalky limestone mixed with clay and sand. The wine was fermented and aged in oak barrels for 18 to 20 months .
Grape variety: 100% Chenin Blanc
