MAS DE LA SERANNE - Les Griottiers 2022
The Mas de la Séranne is located in Aniane in the Terrasses du Larzac and takes its name from the chain of hills opposite the estate. In 1998, Jean-Pierre Venture and his wife Isabelle returned to their native Languedoc and decided to change their professional life. The initial five hectares of vines now extend to 16 hectares managed in certified organic farming with biodynamic influences.
Les Griottiers has been characterized since the first harvest by aromas of morello cherries in brandy, reminiscent of the wild cherry trees that grow next to Grenache vines. It is a blend of Syrah (30%), Cinsault (25%), Grenache (20%), Carignan (10%), Mourvèdre (10%) and Counoise (5%), with traditional vinification and 3 to 5 weeks of maceration. Aging lasts 13 months in vats .
