Domaine Giraud - Tradition - Châteauneuf du Pape 2020
Domaine Giraud is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the southern Rhône . It was created by Pierre Giraud, son of winegrowers, and his wife Mirelle whose family owned the village distillery. In 1974, they decided to sharecrop 4 hectares of vines. They produced their first vintage in 1981 after transforming the old family distillery into a cellar for the vinification and aging of their wines. They expanded the vineyard over the years and then passed it on from 1998 to their children Marie and François . They got involved in plot selection work, renovation of the cellar and began a process of conversion to organic farming from 2008. Today, the 35 hectares of the estate are certified in organic farming .
