Château LANGOA BARTON 2021
Château Langoa Barton is located in the Saint-Julien appellation, in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified Third Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The Langoa property was sold to Hugh Barton, an Irish merchant, in 1821. Today, the Langoa Barton vineyard extends over 20 hectares on a terroir of gravel and a clayey subsoil.
Château Langoa Barton 2021 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot (36%) and Cabernet Franc (3%) . After manual harvesting, the harvest is destemmed and then sorted. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 7 to 10 days with some pumping over. Maceration lasts 3 weeks in barrels. The wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels , 60% of which are new.
