Champagne Drémont Marroy - Noir de Méandre - Extra Brut 2020
Champagne Drémont-Marroy is located in Charly-sur-Marne, in the Marne Valley in Champagne . The family estate is now managed by Jean-Rémi and Mélanie Drémont . Their great-grandmother, Odette Drémont, was a winegrower and teacher. Their grandparents, Jean-Marie and Geneviève Drémont, were farmers and breeders, and cultivated only 1 hectare of vines. It was under the leadership of their parents, Jean-Louis Drémont and Françoise Marroy, that the vineyard expanded from 1 to 7.5 hectares. The estate extends over 4 villages and includes 23 plots. Jean-Rémi and Mélanie Drémont practice viticulture that is close to and respectful of nature and biodiversity. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2022.
Noir de Méandre is made from Meunier (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) from the 2020 vintage. The base wine is aged for 11 months on lees, half of which is in wood. The champagne is aged on slats for 3 years . It is bottled with an Extra-Brut dosage of 3 g/L .
