Domaine de la Folie - Rully Red - Cuvée Marey 2023
Domaine de la Folie is located in Chagny, in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy . Passed down through the generations for over 300 years, Clémence and Baptiste Dubrulle have been in charge of the property since 2010, after experiences in press relations and engineering. The estate covers 13 hectares in the heart of the Rully appellation. Its wines include the most sought-after climats of the appellation such as Clos Saint-Jacques in Premier Cru Monopole and Vieilles vignes or Clos de Bellecroix. The vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture .
The Rully Rouge Cuvée Marey is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on a 1.6 hectare clay-limestone terroir, with vines 50 years old. After a manual harvest, the grapes are destemmed and then macerated before fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place under racks and pumping over is carried out. The wine is aged in barrels, 20% of which are new.
