Domaine Les Bruyères - David Reynaud - Georges 2022
Domaine Les Bruyères is located in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, in the Rhône Valley. Managed by David Reynaud since 2000, the estate produces wines using certified organic and biodynamic farming methods . The estate covers 27 hectares of vines, on a terroir made up of clay-limestone terraces and pebbles.
Georges is made from Syrah , the vines of which are between 20 and 30 years old, grown on the clay-limestone terraces in the commune of Beaumont-Monteux. The grapes are harvested manually, with manual sorting on the vines and then on a sorting table. The grapes are completely destemmed and vatted, then devatted by gravity. Vinification is traditional and takes place in raw concrete vats. Vatting lasts 28 to 32 days with punching down . The wine is then aged for 12 months in 6 and 7-year-old barrels (50%) and in concrete vats (50%) .
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
