On the ten hectares of his superb vineyard planted on the terrace in a green cirque of La Chapelle-de-Rousse, Jean-Marc Grussaute has raised Camin Larredya to the top of the Jurançon appellation. By dint of perseverance and work in the vineyard (mass selections, organic certification since 2007) and in the cellar (refinement of blends, pressing and aging), this former rugby player of the Sélection Paloise manages to produce dry white wines. and mellow of high quality. It combines the strength of the Jurançon terroir (translated by a bitter and acid fiery), the brilliance of the juices, luminous acidity and the finesse due to a perfect mastery of the vinification. Always in search of the most beautiful terroirs of the appellation, the Bearn winegrower has cleared a superb limestone hillside (1.20 ha), in the town of Lasseube. He planted petit manseng, camaralet and lauzet on this specific terroir, whose hard soil and steep slope had until then dissuaded winegrowers. The level and regularity of the wines are today unmatched in the South-West. The third star was awarded to the estate last year.
