CHATEAU LA NEGLY - L'Ancely 2015
Of Spanish origin, Mourvèdre adapts perfectly to the soils and the geographical location of the estate.
Cultivated in short pruning, harvested manually, the grapes are sorted first on the vine and then in the cellar by a much more rigorous sorting in order to make the most of the characteristics of this grape variety.
The harvest is carried out at optimum maturity and precedes a long vatting in a conical wooden trunk.
Rough in its youth, Mourvèdre requires several years of aging to develop its aromatic potential.
At the same time powerful, ample and of great finesse, an intense ruby red color. The nose combines aromas of kirsch, mocha cocoa, sweet spices. In the mouth this wine is rich, dense with silky tannins. These notes of ripe fruit and its roasted finish suggests a great aging potential in this very powerful and racy wine.
Ancely is a prestigious cuvée and by far the most atypical of the range.
