The Plaisir de Siaurac is produced in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation north-east of Pomerol. This appellation covers an area of 1,200 hectares and produces 53,300 hectoliters of wine per year. Its main grape varieties are merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and malbec.
We present here the second wine of Château Siaurac. It is the most important property of Lalande with 46 ha in sustainable agriculture.
Le Plaisir de Siaurac is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The harvest is done by machine, the vinification is parceled while the aging lasts 9 months in cement vats. They have a production of 70 to 80,000 bottles per year.
Sommelier's advice: Le Plaisir de Siaurac has a ruby color. Its nose is very expressive with aromas of small red fruits, toast and spices. It has present tannins, but melted. Taste the Plaisir de Siaurac with your red meats, small game, cheese… Why not with a rack of crusted lamb?
