Catherine Roque has created two major areas of the Languedoc panorama, Clovallon, Bédarieux, in the Haute Vallée de l'Orb, and Mas d'Alezon, Faugères.
Architect by training, passionate about the vine, she started in 1989 by planting unexpected grape varieties, especially Pinot Noir which she was precursory in the region.
This self-taught mother of three daughters, then takes over in 1997 a vineyard forgotten at the top of the appellation Faugères on the terroir of schists, the Mas d'Alezon.
This biodynamic vineyard is planted with Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah.
The Le Presbytère wine is vinified with the minimum of sulfur possible.
