“Plaisir de Siaurac” is produced in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation northeast of Pomerol. This appellation covers an area of ​​1,200 hectares and produces 53,300 hectoliters of wine per year. It is the second wine of Château Siaurac. It is the most important property of Lalande with 46 ha in reasoned agriculture.

In 2018, the very wet conditions during winter continued in the spring, accompanied by mild temperatures. Flowering proceeded well thanks to the temperatures higher than the normal ones for this season. The summer was very hot with periods of heat wave in early August. The ripening period was excellent. The dryness at the end of the season allowed to obtain an aromatic balance.

“Plaisir de Siaurac” 2018 is a blend of 45% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 20% Malbec with an average age of 20 years. The aging lasts 9 months in concrete vats.

The palate is juicy, light, fresh and balanced.
