Domaine Elian Da Ros - Vignoble d'Elian 2017
The organic estate of Elian da Ros was founded in the mid-1990s and is located in the Côtes du Marmandais, just east of Bordeaux. It covers 16 hectares in total, including 8ha in biodynamy. Elian worked with Olivier Humbrecht in Alsace and also at the Grange des Pères in Languedoc. He has an incredible wine experience.
Le Vignoble d’Elian 2017 is a blend of Cabernet Franc (50%), Merlot (30%) and Syrah (20%) from vines whose average age varies between 30 and 40 years. The vinification takes place in open concrete vats (for light pigeages) and a maceration of 2 to 3 weeks with very soft extractions. Each grape variety is vinified separately. The wine undergoes aging in tuns for 16 months then in concrete vat for three months before bottling.
