MAS DE LA SERANNE - Les Griottiers 2020
Le Mas de la Séranne is located in Aniane in the Terrasses du Larzac and takes its name from the chain of hills opposite the estate. In 1998, Jean-Pierre Venture and his family returned to their native Languedoc and decided to change their professional life. The initial five hectares of vines now spreads over 16 hectares carried out in certified organic farmingwith biodynamic influences.
Les Griottiers has been characterised since the first harvest by aromas of sour cherries with brandy, reminiscent of wild cherry trees that grow alongside Grenache vines. It is a blend of Grenache (30%), Cinsault (30%), Syrah (20%) and Mourvèdre (20%), with traditional vinification and 3 to 5 weeks of maceration. Aging lasts 13 months in vats.
