LA GRANGE TIPHAINE - Côt Vielles Vignes 2018
La Grange Tiphaine is located in the Loire Valley, and produces wines in the appellations of Montlouis-sur-Loire, Touraine and Touraine-Ambroise. The 15-hectare vineyard is an exploitation dating from 1850, then specialised in polyculture (tobacco, cereals ...) and which sees its first vines in the 1970s. The domain was bought in 2002 by Coralie and Damien Delecheneau and they work today together, assisted by two employees: Mathieu and Jean-Rémy. They decided to convert the vineyard to organic farming and obtained biodynamic certification in 2014.
Côt Vieilles Vignes is made from old vines of Côt (also known as Malbec) which are 120 years old. The harvest is manual and the grapes are meticulously sorted and destemmed before being macerated in a concrete tank. Aging lasts 9 months: half in an ovoid tank and the other half in 225-litres barrels.
Grape variety: 100% Côt
