Les Cailloux du Paradis - Etienne Courtois - Cuvée des Etourneaux 2016
Les Cailloux du Paradis belongs to Claude Courtois and is located in Soings-en-Sologne, near Cheverny. Claude Courtois manages the vineyard with his son Julien and cultivates 13 hectares of Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Côt (Malbec) and Cabernet Sauvignon in red varieties as well as Sauvignon Blanc and Pineau d'Aunis and other indigenous varieties. They work with respect for nature, without chemical intervention and using atypical winemaking techniques.
Cuvée des Etourneaux is entirely made from Gamay. The name of this cuvée is dedicated to the birds called starlings (“étourneau” in French) because they are the ones that eat most of the harvest.
Grape variety: 100% Gamay
