Château ROC DE CAMBES 2017
Château Roc de Cambes is located in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, in Bordeaux. The château was purchased in 1988 by François and Emilie Mitjavile, who also owns the Saint-Emilion's Château Le Tetre-Rôteboeuf. It produces a Merlot-based Bordeaux blend and a Second Wine (Domaine de Cambes) sold as Bordeaux AOC. The vineyards cover 12 hectares and the vines, planted to deep clay-limestone soils, are about 50 years-old.
Roc de Cambes is made with a majority of Merlot, and a smaller proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. It is vinified in temperature-controlled concrete tanks before barrel maturation in 50% new French oak for 24 months.
Grape varieties: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec
