Domaine de la Clartière - Terres de Paillé 2017
The Domaine de la Clartière is located in Nueil-sur-Layon, in Anjou in the Loire Valley. It has been a family estate for four generations of independent winegrowers and is now managed by Agnès, Pierrot, Pierre-Antoine and Edouard Pinet. The 32-hectare vineyard is in the process of being certified in High Environmental Value (HVE) and seven grape varieties are cultivated there. The wines of Domaine de la Clartière are mainly for sale directly from the producer or on the Vendée markets in summer.
Les Terres de Paillé is made entirely from Chenin Blanc, harvested by hand and meticulously sorted in order to select only the finest grapes. After fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees in barrels. When bottled, Terre de Paillé will keep for 5 years.
