Château DE COME 2016
Château de Côme is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in Bordeaux. When Baron Velge bought Château de Côme from the family of the same name in 1997, only two hectares remained, the vine having been leased by another château. Very quickly, the area of the vineyard rises to seven hectares and today, the management has opted for organic management of the vineyard certification to take place soon.
Château de Côme 2016 is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with an average age of 35 years. After the manual harvest, the harvest undergoes a cold pre-fermentation maceration and is then transferred to thermoregulated cement vats. The vatting lasts 21 days then the aging is carried out in barrels for 12 to 14 months, with 20% new oak and the rest in barrels of one and two wines.
