Champagne Charles Mignon - Colors Collection Edition n°1
Champagne Charles Mignon is a family estate founded by Bruno and Laurence Mignon. The Mignon family comes from a line of winegrowers from Mesnil-le-Huttier, a small hamlet of Festigny, a village a few kilometers from Epernay, the capital of Champagne. The Marne Valley vineyard runs along the Côte des Blancs, renowned for the quality of its Chardonnay. Champagne Charles Mignon has vines in the heart of the Grands Crus village of Chouilly. Contract growers supply Pinot Noir from a variety of Premier and Grand Cru sites, as well as the Côte des Blancs Chardonnay. The small but modern wine cellar is equipped with temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and the wines undergo their second fermentation in the bottle in vaulted stone cellars.
Charles Mignon Colors Collection Edition No.1 is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier with 20 and 35% reserve wines. The grapes are picked by hand, pressed near to the vineyard and fermented in stainless steel vats. The dosage is 8.5 g/L to preserve the freshness and fruit, then the wine is aged for 18 to 24 months. This collection contains 9 unique tints published in a limited and numbered edition.
