FRANCOIS MIKULSKI - Bourgogne Côte d'Or - Blanc 2019
Domaine François Mikulski is a family-owned domaine, created in the 1990s by Claude Boillot, François' maternal grandfather. The 8-hectare vineyard is located in Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy. The Estate has been managed by François and Marie-Pierre Mikulski since 1992. They produce wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and owns plots in six Premier Cru vineyards in Meursault and one in Volnay.
The Bourgogne Chardonnay vines come from 1.5 hectares planted on fine river alluvium. The vines are grown in non-certified organic cultivation. The cuvée is aged in oak barrels for about 10 months, then racked and put in vats for two months before bottling. These two plots of vines (one planted in 1986 and the other in 2005 by François Mikulski) are located on the border of the Meursault appellation, which gives the wine a long mouthfeel and good ageing potential.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
