Domaine Thomas Morey - Santenay Vielles Vignes 2019
Domaine Thomas Morey is located in Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy. The estate has nine hectares of vines spread mainly over Chassagne-Montrachet, but also over the villages of Maranges, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Beaune. Thomas Morey is the tenth generation of Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet. Having experienced the farm of his grandparents and then that of his parents on which he worked for 12 years, he decided to create his own estate with his wife Sylvie in 2006. Thomas Morey’s estate signed its first vintage in 2007.
This Santenay Vieilles Vignes (old vines) comes from a plot of vines planted in part at the end of the 1950s located in a place called "Prarons above". This plot benefits from excellent exposure since it is located just below the very famous “Clos de Tavannes”, the jewel of the Santenay Premier Crus.
