Clos Larrouyat - Comète 2020
Clos Larrouyat is located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, in the Jurançon appellation. It is an estate created by Maxime Salharang in 2011, in honor of his maternal grandfather, Roger Larrouyat. The 3-hectare vineyard is biodynamically managed on a unique terroir of pebbles from the Ossau Valley, but was only awarded the certification for organic farming. Maxime Salharang mainly cultivates two grape varieties: Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng.
Comète is the high-end cuvée from Clos Larrouyat. This dry Jurançon is made from Petit Manseng (75%), supplemented with Camaralet, a grape variety originating from the Pyrenees and which brings a spicy aromatic touch.
Grape varieties: 75% Petit Manseng, 25% Camaralet
