Domaine Pierre Boisson (Boisson Vadot) - Bourgogne Blanc 2019
Boisson-Vadot / Anne & Pierre Boisson is a group of Burgundy domains based in Meursault, in Burgundy. The wines are collaboratively produced in the cellar of the Boisson family, who have been leading winemakers in Meursault for over two centuries. The 10-hectare estate was run by Bernard Boisson-Vadot until 2016 and his son and daughter, Pierre and Anne Boisson have been taking over since the 2017 vintage. Some of the wines are bottled under the Boisson-Vadot label, while certain parcels of the estate are allocated to Pierre Boisson and Anne Boisson and the wines carry their names.
Pierre Boisson's Bourgogne Blanc is made entirely from Chardonnay whose average age is 35 years-old and from four plots in Meursault; “Les Belles Côtes”, “Les Vaux”, “Les Gelerands” and “Les Coutures”. The bunches are pressed followed by static settling for 12 hours. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are carried out entirely in barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrels, 10% of which are new, with 4 stirring during aging. The wine is bottled by gravity.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
