Seña - 25 años 2019
Viña Seña is located in Panquehue, in the Aconcagua Valley in Chile. It was established as a collaborative venture in Chile between Viña Errázuriz and Robert Mondavi. Since 2005, Seña is fully owned by the Chadwick family (proprietors of Errázuriz) and is the personal project of Eduardo Chadwick. The vineyard has 42 hectares of cultivated vines, managed according to the principles of biodynamics since 2015. Eduardo's ambition is to create a Chilean icon wine, with the inaugural vintage of Seña in 1995.
The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Malbec (21%), Carménère (15%) et Petit Verdot (4%). The grapes for Seña are sourced from Seña Hillside vineyards within the Aconcagua Valley. The wine is aged for 22 months ; 90% in French oak barrels (with 80% new oak) and 10% in foudres. Seña 2019 is the 25th Anniversary vintage.
