135 East Gin - Hyogo Dry Gin - Japanese Gin - 42%
135° East is a brand of Japanese gin, created by the Kaikyō distillery . Kaikyō Distillery is located in the Hyogo region, facing the Seto Inland Sea. There, summers are hot and humid with temperatures approaching 39°C, winters are mild and dry, and sea winds blow day and night in front of the distillery. The Yonezawa family settled in Akashi City in 1856. After mastering the art of brewing sake, the family began distilling in 1917. A century later, Kimio Yonezawa, the master blender, honors his legacy. Thanks to methodical learning and exchanges with other Master Distillers and Blenders, notably based in Scotland, Kimio Yonezawa participates in the growing development of the distillery.
This Gin is made from 3 traditional European botanicals with 5 Japanese botanicals , all from small local producers and the best specialists in Japan. Before being assembled, each of them is distilled separately in order to better preserve its characteristics. Thanks to vacuum distillation or "vacuum distillation", a frequent process in fine perfumery, 135° East preserves the finesse and subtleties of the aromas of each of its botanicals.
