Château Dompierre - The White of Dompierre 2020
Château Dompierre is located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc , near Pauillac in Bordeaux . Michel Aroldi , born in Libourne, is heir to a long peasant tradition. In 1993, he bought Château Plain-Point in Fronsac and established himself as a very talented winemaker. Attracted by an evolution in terms of vintage, Michel Aroldi acquires Château Dompierre on the terroir of Pauillac. He attaches great importance to respect for the ecosystem , the terroir and the vintage. Thus, from the vine to the breeding, he sets up a process of reasoned agriculture , inspired by simple and natural rules.
Blanc de Dompierre is made from Sauvignon Blanc from the purchase of grapes from a winemaker friend of the family, located in Entre-Deux-Mers. Harvesting and vinification are carried out by the Aroldi family. A third of the harvest is macerated for about 12 hours, and the remaining 2/3 in direct pressing. The wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats .
