Champagne JACQUESSON - Cuvée n° 740 DT (late disgorgement)
The Jacquesson Champagne House is located in Dizy in the Marne Valley , in Champagne . Its history dates back to 1978, when the Chiquet family bought the brand and transferred it to their family estate. In 1988, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet took over and have since overseen a rapid rise to prominence when Jacquesson was ranked third best of all Houses after Bollinger and Krug. The vineyard is located in two distinct regions: the Grand Cru of Aÿ and two Premiers Crus in Dizy and Hautvillers in the Marne Valley and two Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs in Avize and Oiry . Jacquesson wines come from 80% of their vineyards, certified organic since 2010.
Cuvée No. 740 DT (Tardif Disgorging) is made from a 2012 vintage base and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir . The harvest comes from the Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvilliers (54%) and Avize and Oiry (46%) crus. It is vinified on lees in oak barrels then aged 96 months on lees before being disgorged in April 2021. It is not dosed at bottling.
