Mas d'Alezon - The Presbytery 2021
Le Mas d'Alezon is located in Faugères , in Languedoc . It has belonged to Catherine Roque since 1997, who also owns the Clovallon estate in Hérault. Catherine Roque was one of the first to grow Pinot Noir in Languedoc, after pleading her case with ONIVINS, which accepted, after conclusive experiments, to authorize this grape variety in the production of Pays d 'oc. The Mas d'Alezon vineyard is certified in biodynamic agriculture . All the work, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is carried out with the minimum possible intervention.
Le Presbytère is a blend of Cinsault, Lledoner Pelut and Carignan , grown on shales at an altitude of 300 metres. The vatting takes place in whole bunches and lasts 3 weeks in concrete vats. Vinification and aging are natural, without oenological inputs. The aging lasts 8 months in concrete eggs and in barrels .
