MANUTEA - White Rum - Organic - 55%
Manutea is a brand of rums produced in Tahiti , French Polynesia. Manutea Tahiti was founded in 1984 and produced pineapple, ginger and orange eaux-de-vie, sharing the same production site as Jus de Fruits de Moorea. The O'Tahiti variety sugar cane is grown at the Domaine Pari Pari in Tahaa and on the Hotu Fenua plots on Moorea. It is freshly cut by hand and crushed on the plantation the same day, without adding water, before fermentation. The cane obtained, loaded onto the schooners, leaves the Leeward Islands (Raromatai) to reach the island of Moorea and the Manutea Tahiti distillery, located at the foot of Mount Rotui between Cook and Opunohu bays. The vesou is distilled in a copper still, the rum is then left to rest and reduced.
Since 2018 and obtaining its organic certification , Manutea Tahiti has been committed to sustainable development and strives to transcribe the exceptional flavors of the Polynesian terroir.
