Domaine DE L'ALLIANCE - Sketch (Soft) 2022
Domaine de l'Alliance is located in the southeast of the Sauternes appellation, between Langon and Fargues in the Bordeaux wine region. It was created in 2005 when Daniel and Valérie Alibrand bought vines for a creation from scratch, without taking over any pre-existing estate. Daniel Alibrand was a fisherman in Vendée. They currently operate 8 hectares which cover a set of gravel terroirs where we will find a clayey presence and even a part rich in iron and complex to work. The grape variety is 80% Sémillon, 18% Sauvignon Blanc with a little Sauvignon Gris and 2% Muscadelle, for vines that are over forty years old on average. One plot is even of unknown age, no one having been able to estimate it during the purchase. The estate is certified in organic farming , a process which was initiated very quickly after the purchase.
Esquisse is a blend of Sémillon (85%), Sauvignon Blanc et Gris (10%) and Muscadelle (5%) . After pressing, fermentation occurs in barrels with native yeasts. The wine is aged for 6 months in barrels of 4 wines (90%) and in vats (10%) . It contains 120 g/L of residual sugar.
