Tzora Vineyards - Shoresh 2019
Tzora Vineyards is located near the village of Shoresh in the Judean Hills of Israel . The estate was founded by Ronnie James in the early 1990s. The estate cultivates 15 hectares, divided into 14 small plots varying in altitude and soil type. These manually created terraces follow the contours of steep slopes. Cold winters, sharp temperature drops during short summer nights and early morning summer mists, as well as variations in soils from limestone rock outcrops to mineral-rich, contribute to the character of the wines. Jean-Claude Berrouet, former technical director of Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, is a consultant for Tzora Vineyards.
Shoresh is a blend of Syrah (38%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Merlot (20%), Petit Verdot (15%) and Cabernet Franc (2%) . It is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels .
