Domaine Camin Larredya - Costa Blanca 2021
Domaine Camin Larredya is located in Chapelle de Rousse, in the Jurançon wine region. It has belonged to Jean-Marc Grussaute since 1988 and was elected “Winemaker of the Year 2023”. The Camin Larredya vineyard covers 9.5 hectares, of which 4 hectares are cultivated on terraces. The vines are grown using certified organic farming , and each vintage comes from a specific plot. The estate also buys conventional grapes from Christian Pédéflous and Philippe Vigneau and Sylvie and David Lacazette.
Costa Blanca is a blend of Petit Manseng from Massale and Camaralet selections . The vines are planted on a 1.2 hectare plot in the town of Lasseube, between 260 and 310 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting, the whole bunches are put into direct pressing. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts in 1,200 liter vats. The malolactic conversion is partially carried out. The wine is aged for 10 months on lees in terracotta jars .
