Chateau Vrai Canon Bouché 2016
Château Vrai Canon Bouché is located in Fronsac , in the Bordeaux wine region. It was acquired in 2021 by the Labrune family , in the lineage of Château de La Dauphine. The ambition of both properties is to produce great wines using organic and biodynamic farming, expressing the finesse of their terroir. The vineyard is based on 13 hectares of quarries created to extract the stone intended to build the monuments of Bordeaux. A rigorous program of uprooting and replanting has been put in place.
Château Vrai Canon Bouché is a blend of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Franc (40%) , with vines around 35 years old. After the manual harvest, the crop is destemmed and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. Maceration lasts 15 to 20 days. Malolactic conversion takes place in new barrels. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels ; 50% new and 50% of a wine.
