Chateau LA TOUR BLANCHE 2017
Château La Tour Blanche is located in the commune of Bommes, in the Sauternes appellation in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the Sauternes and Barsac classification in 1855. The property was bequeathed to the French State in 1909 and is currently under the supervision of the administrative branch of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and is home to a vocational agricultural college. The vineyard covers 70 hectares, of which 40 hectares are planted with vines. In line with current ecological concerns, Château La Tour Blanche has already taken numerous steps to improve its environmental performance.
Château La Tour Blanche is a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle . The wine is aged in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels, renewed each year. The wood is made of medium-heated stave oak from Nièvre, Allier and Vosges.
