RHUM CLEMENT - Vintage 2002 - 42%
Domaine Acajou was founded in 1700 and has grown to reach 160 ha of sugar cane. In 1883, Crédit Foncier Colonial seized the property and put it up for sale, Homère Clément then bought it and Rhum Clément was born. He built the distillery in 1917 in order to meet a significant demand due to the war then underway. The company will remain in the hands of the Clément family for 3 generations before being sold to brothers Yves and Bernard Hayot in 1986. Following this, the distillation activity will be transferred to the Simon home in 1988 but all other activities of productions are maintained at Habitation Acajou.
Clément produced exceptional vintages and this is the case with this 2002 vintage. Presented in a beautiful wooden box, this bottle of agricultural rum was bottled in 2017 after 15 years of aging. For aging, it is a blend of rums aged in barrels of French oak and Bourbon oak. A great tasting rum!
