Château SAINT ROBERT - Cuvée Poncet Deville - Blanc 2019
Château Saint-Robert is located in the Graves region, in Bordeaux. It is owned by B.P.C.E Domaines and is operated by Château Bastor Lamontagne. The first official traces of the estate date from 1686. It then belonged to the parliamentary nobility family Duroy. In 1751, to add more sparkle to its recent nobility of dress, Pierre-Joseph de Pascal bought the estate which, a few years later, returned by inheritance to Henri de Pressac. Then gradually abandoned, Saint-Robert successively wiped out the revolutionary turmoil and the frosts of 1794 to be reborn in the 21st century and become a real renowned wine castle, under the leadership of its owner, Mr. Poncet Deville. The vineyard covers 34 hectares; 28 hectares of red grape varieties and 6 hectares of white grape varieties. The harvests are carried out manually and mechanically. The vineyard is conducted in certified organic farming.
The Poncet Deville cuvée comes from the best plots of Château Saint Robert. It is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (80%), completed with Sémillon (20%). The vinification takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel vats then the wine is aged for 9 months on fine lees.
