Champagne Agrapart - Les 7 Crus
Champagne Agrapart is an owner -operated Harvester-Manipulant in the Côte des Blancs in Avize , in Champagne . The estate was founded in the 19th century by Arthur Agrapart, then developed by his grandson Pierre in the 1950s and 1960s. The 12 hectare vineyard mainly covers Grands Crus planted with the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes are harvested and pressed naturally. The soils of the vineyards have always been maintained by plowing and each year, a compost of local ingredients is applied to the vineyard. The biological life of the soil generates health and productivity in the vineyard. The wines are neither fined nor filtered.
7 Crus is a blend of Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Noir (10%) . This cuvée comes from two vintages blended from plots in 7 villages: 4 Grands Crus (Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry) and 2 Premiers Crus (Avenay Val d'Or, Coligny and Vauciennes). The wine is disgorged 2 months before sale and the dosage is limited to 7 g/L .
