Château Cazebonne - Le Grand Vin - Blanc 2019
Château Cazebonne is located in the commune of Saint-Pierre de Mons in the Graves, in Bordeaux. The estate spreads over 40 hectares, entirely conducted in organic and biodynamic agriculture certified from the 2020 vintage. The Château was bought in 2016 by Jean-Baptiste Duquesne, entrepreneur and wine lover in collaboration with David Poutays, winemaker at Clos de Mounissens. Together, they decided to replant all of Bordeaux's forgotten historic grape varieties.
The Grand Vin Blanc 2019 is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (53%), Sémillon (29%) and Sauvignon Gris (18%). The young Sauvignon Blanc grapes are harvested manually from the Peyron gravel, and the old Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Gris come from the Bouché plateau. The whole is fermented and aged in oak barrels from 4 coopers for 11 months. A very low dose of volcanic sulfur is added during aging and before bottling.
Grape varieties: 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 29% Sémillon, 18% Sauvignon Gris
