Maison Morey Coffinet - Saint Aubin 1er Cru - Les Frionnes 2019
Domaine Morey-Coffinet is located in Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy. It was created in 1978 by the merger of Domaine Marc Morey and Domaine Fernand Coffinet. The vineyard is operated by Thibault Morey, from a family of winegrowers. Most of the vineyard is found in Chassagne-Montrachet with some Premiers Crus La Romanée, En Remilly and Caillerets as well as a Premier Cru plot in Puligny-Montrachet and another 13 ares on the Grand-Cru Bâtard-Montrachet. Maison Morey-Coffinet buys grapes or must for the elaboration of the cuvées. All the vines are cultivated using biodynamic methods, with organic certification.
The Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Les Frionnes is made from the purchase of grapes and/or Chardonnay must. The wine is aged for 10 months in 228 and 350-litres oak barrels, with 30% new oak.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
