Domaine Trapet Père et Fils is made up of two estates: one in Burgundy, in the town of Gevrey-Chambertin and one inAlsace. The company in its current bi-regional configuration was formed when Andrée Trapet inherited vineyards from his parents in Alsace in 2002. Her husband Jean-Louis Trapet has managed the Domaine Trapet Père et Fils in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1990, date to which he succeeded his father Jean. This last property is one of the great historic estates of the Côte de Nuits. The vineyard has 16 hectares, dominated by plots of Chambertin (1.9 hectares), Latricières-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin. Both estates are operated in biodynamic viticulture.

The Gevrey-Chambertin Ostrea comes from four plots over 2.50 hectares and of which the oldest Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1913. Aging is carried out in barrels for 15 to 18 months, of which 30 to 50% are new.
