Château La Freynelle - Between Two Seas White 2021
Château La Freynelle belongs to Vignobles Véronique Barthe . In 1789, Jean Barthe chose Naujan-et-Postiac, a hilly land in Entre-Deux-Mers in Bordeaux, to plant his first vines there. From 1945, Philippe Barthe was in charge of the vineyards for more than 40 years before bequeathing the property to his daughter Véronique in 1990. Today, the property covers 80 hectares of vines, it is equipped with a modern and technological cellar. The “park” of barrels is made up of around a hundred pieces of stave oak from French forests.
The White of La Freynelle is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (60%), Sémillon (20%) and Muscadelle (20%) . The Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle grape varieties undergo skin maceration before soft and slow pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged on fine lees until bottling.
