Château Loupiac-Gaudiet 2019
Château Loupiac-Gaudiet is located in Loupiac , in the appellation of the same name in Bordeaux . In 1919, the Château was sold to the Ducau family . This is how the family story with Loupiac-Gaudiet begins, an encounter punctuated by 6 successive generations. It was in 1986 that Marc Ducau asked his nephew, Daniel Sanfourche , to come and join him in this adventure. Today the whole family works hand in hand on the property: Daniel the father, Marie-Laurence the mother and Nicolas the son. The 30 hectare vineyard is located around the Château and benefits from a southern exposure. The very old vines are planted on hillsides overlooking the Garonne, on clay-limestone terroir. A conversion to organic farming began in 2021.
Château Loupiac-Gaudiet is a blend of Sémillon (95%) and Sauvignon Blanc (5%) . The grapes are botrytized, which concentrates the sugar inside the berries while revealing the aromatic power of the fruit.
Grape varieties: 95% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc
