Domaine Françoise André is located in Beaune, in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . It was founded in 1983 by Michel and Françoise André . Following a succession of purchases of vines from the best terroirs of the Côte de Beaune, the vineyard today extends over 11 hectares covering 16 climates. Lauriane , Françoise André's daughter-in-law, is in charge of operations. The vines are grown using certified organic farming . The team is minimally interventionist in the vat room in order to let the terroir express itself in each vintage.
Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay comes from young vines grown on clay soil. The harvest is carried out manually with careful sorting of the bunches. The whole grapes are then pressed in a pneumatic press. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in 350 liter barrels . The stirring of lees is limited, even prohibited. The wine is aged in barrels of which 25 to 30% are new.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
