Champagne JACQUESSON - Cuvée n°742 DT (late disgorging)
The Champagne House Jacquesson is located in Dizy in the Marne Valley , Champagne . Its history dates back to 1978, when the Chiquet family bought the brand and transferred it to their family estate. In 1988, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet took over and have since overseen a rapid rise to prominence when Jacquesson was ranked third best of all the Houses after Bollinger and Krug. The vineyard is located in two distinct regions: the Grand Cru of Aÿ and two Premiers Crus in Dizy and Hautvillers in the Marne Valley and two Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs in Avize and Oiry . Jacquesson wines come 80% from their vineyards, certified organic since 2010.
Cuvée No. 742 DT (Late Disgorgement) is made from a 2014 vintage base and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir . The harvest comes from the Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvilliers and Champillon (59%) and Avize and Oiry (41%) crus. It is vinified on lees in oak tuns and then aged for 94 months on lees before being disgorged in April 2023. It is dosed at 0.5 g/L .
